LIND didn't set out to make another water toy. It set out to preserve the feeling of surfing — and take it somewhere waves don't exist.

Future of Water / 003 — Prototype feature
Most surfing begins with a wave. LIND begins with the absence of one.
Born from the idea that surfing shouldn't be limited by geography, LIND pairs traditional surfboard craftsmanship with an electric drivetrain built to let riders surf wherever there is water — not only where the ocean cooperates.
We came across it while looking at how the water world is quietly being rebuilt.
This is why it stopped us.
Surfing has always been an agreement between a person and a coastline. Swell, tide, season, luck. Everything else in the sport is negotiation.
Take the wave out of the equation and what remains is the part people actually chase: speed held under the feet, a rail engaged, a line drawn across open water. That feeling turns out to be portable.

LIND describes its creative identity simply: California × Sweden. Surf culture on one side, Scandinavian design and engineering discipline on the other.
It's an unusual pairing, and you can see both halves in the object — the looseness of a shaped board, the restraint of a product that hides its complexity.
California × Sweden

The emphasis sits where you'd hope: outline, foil, rail, fin, finish. Craft first, hardware second — because a powered board that doesn't behave like a surfboard is simply a different sport.
Rails decide how forgiving a turn feels. Volume decides confidence. Surface finish decides how the board releases. None of that is solved by horsepower.

Craft first. Then power.

LIND is interesting to us not because it's electric, and not because it's fast. It's interesting because it changes where the experience can happen.
Lakes. Calm coastal water. Yacht destinations. Resorts. Mornings with no swell at all. Places where traditional surfing simply isn't possible.
Creating an extraordinary water experience in an unexpected place is exactly the kind of idea WakeLuxz exists to discover.

Because the board begins as a shaped object, its surface can be treated as one. Alongside the standard finishes, LIND explores custom and artistic work — boards made to be looked at as much as ridden.
Not every board is a one-off. But the door is open, and that is a distinctly different posture from a mass-produced water toy.

Maybe the future of surfing isn't about finding the next wave. Maybe it's about realizing you no longer need one.
