Montage Big Sky

Big Sky, Montana. From wakes to mountains, the season changes. The pursuit doesn't.

On the Mountain

Wake riders don't stop chasing experiences when summer ends. For many, the board simply changes.

When lake days give way to snow, places like Big Sky offer another way to ride, explore and spend time outside — the same appetite, a different surface.

Montage Big Sky is the kind of destination that catches our attention: adventure and performance combined with an elevated place to stay, gather and experience the mountain.

The Mountain

Big terrain. Long winters. Room to move.

Snowboarding and skiing across some of the largest terrain in North America. Ridgelines, tree runs, bowls and mornings where the mountain still feels empty.

Southwest Montana in winter is wide, quiet and genuinely wild — the kind of landscape that rewards showing up early and staying out late.

The Stay

Ski-in, ski-out. Then somewhere worth returning to.

Montage Big Sky sits in Spanish Peaks with ski-in/ski-out access to Big Sky Resort — you step out of the building and onto the mountain.

Beyond the runs: dining, après by the fire, a spa and wellness floor, and guided outdoor experiences that continue after the lifts stop. It reads less like a hotel and more like a basecamp with standards.

We have no relationship with the property. We're simply interested in how it works.

Why It's Worth Discovering

Not because it's luxurious.

We follow places where experience, adventure, people and setting come together — where the day outside matters as much as the room you come back to.

That's the same reason our audience ends up on a lake in July and a chairlift in January. The crew doesn't change. The season does.

Different board. Same pursuit.

From Water to Mountain

Wake. Surf. Snow.

The season changes. The reason we ride doesn't.
