The racing happens in Miami Gardens. But the weekend belongs to South Florida.
Formula 1 / Miami Grand Prix
We're already looking ahead to 2027.
And if there's one Formula 1 weekend in the U.S. that seems built for the WakeLuxz world, Miami is pretty high on the list. The Miami Grand Prix brings Formula 1 to the Miami International Autodrome at Hard Rock Stadium — but experiencing Miami during race weekend can extend far beyond the circuit.
Cars. Boats. Beaches. Restaurants. Hotels. Nightlife. People from around the world. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, Formula 1 cars doing what Formula 1 cars do.
That's the part we're interested in. Not simply attending a race. Experiencing the weekend surrounding it.
The Miami International Autodrome is a purpose-built circuit laid out around Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, and it has been on the Formula 1 calendar since 2022.
That's about as far into the technical side as we'll go. Plenty of places will tell you who won. We're more interested in what the rest of the weekend looks like.

Miami Beach and South Beach. Brickell after dark. The Design District. Bal Harbour. Restaurants worth planning a night around, hotels worth staying an extra one for, and a stretch of coast that doesn't need a race to justify the trip.
Art, design, architecture and car culture all live in the same city here. That's the version of a Grand Prix weekend we find interesting — the one where the circuit is only the anchor.
Miami is one of those places where a motors weekend doesn't have to stay on land. Biscayne Bay, the marinas, waterfront restaurants, day charters and the boating lifestyle that runs through South Florida all year.
To be clear: the circuit sits inland at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens — nobody is watching the race from a boat. But the water is a short drive from the paddock, and extending an F1 trip into a Miami boating weekend is the easiest thing in the world.

Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren. Collectors, dealers, private garages and cars that simply appear on the street because someone felt like driving that evening.
Miami has one of the more visible performance-car cultures in the country, and race weekend tends to concentrate it. It's a part of the story we expect to keep pulling on as WakeLuxz builds relationships with dealers and collectors.
WakeLuxz is still at the beginning of this next chapter. We won't pretend we've been everywhere or experienced everything we feature. Part of the fun is discovering the places we'd like to go next.
The 2027 Miami Grand Prix is one of them. And because it's here in the United States, it feels like a pretty good place to start. Dates for the 2027 season haven't been confirmed yet — the official F1 ticketing platform currently lists the race with a waitlist.
Some stories we discover. Some we hope to experience.
Formula 1 + Miami car culture.
Boating + Biscayne Bay.
Miami + South Florida.
People + events + culture.
WakeLuxz is becoming a place for stories that don't always fit neatly into one category. Miami during Formula 1 weekend is exactly that.
Come for the machines. Stay for everything surrounding them.
